DESCRIPTION:Das Theodor-Fontane-Archiv ist eine wissenschaftliche Instituti
 on des Landes Brandenburg. Im Zentrum seiner Arbeit als Literaturarchiv st
 ehen Person und Werk des Schriftstellers Theodor Fontane (1819-1898). Das 
 Archiv wurde 1935 gegründet. Es erlitt im Zweiten Weltkrieg erhebliche Ve
 rluste (www.lostart.de). Heute ist das Theodor-Fontane-Archiv eine moderne
  wissenschaftliche Institution. Es verfügt über eine bedeutende Handschr
 iftensammlung\, eine einzigartige Spezialbibliothek\, eine Zeitungsausschn
 ittsammlung und eine Bildersammlung zu Theodor Fontane. Es beherbergt die 
 Arbeitsstellen zur Edition der Großen Brandenburger Fontane-Ausgabe und z
 ur Personalbibliographie Theodor Fontane.\nGemeinsam mit der Theodor-Fonta
 ne-Gesellschaft wird vom Theodor-Fontane-Archiv die Halbjahresschrift Font
